For RedFest 2026, an exclusive red carpet event for the University of Houston’s Digital Media program, I played a pivotal role in post-production and outreach. I used Premiere Pro to edit interviews with past winners, crafted a teaser trailer, and produced a sponsor video aimed at securing support for various categories.
Additionally, our team leveraged XMPie to develop a targeted social media strategy, enhancing our online presence and engagement. Using Canva, our team designed sponsor personas to target potential business partners and created engaging social media reels to build excitement for the event. Through these efforts, we aimed to highlight student projects and attract sponsors, ensuring a vibrant and successful showcase for 2026.

As part of the RedFest 2026 planning team, we developed a comprehensive media and communication strategy designed to strengthen the event’s outreach and sponsorship potential. We began by creating detailed sponsorship personas that identified the types of businesses and organizations most likely to support RedFest, tailoring messaging to their values, interests, and community impact. Using XMPie, we built an organized workflow for personalized communication, allowing targeted print and digital outreach to potential sponsors.
To support engagement and visibility, we designed mock social media posts that showcased event highlights, award categories, and student achievements, providing a cohesive visual direction for the 2026 social media campaign. In addition, we developed both print and email marketing strategies, including brochures, sponsor packets, and outreach messages aimed at securing partnerships. This strategic planning helped establish a strong promotional foundation for RedFest 2026, aligning branding, communication, and media elements into one unified campaign.
For RedFest, I played a key role in shaping the event’s media presence by producing both short-form and long-form interviews featuring last year’s category winners. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, I edited these interviews to highlight their creative processes, project insights, and personal experiences within the Digital Media program.
In addition to the interview content, I created a sponsor outreach video aimed at attracting partners and financial supporters for RedFest 2026. This video combined event highlights, student achievements, and compelling visual storytelling to showcase the impact and growth of RedFest. Through careful editing, pacing, and narrative structure, I helped enhance the professionalism of the event’s marketing materials and contributed to the momentum leading into next year’s showcase.
